There are too many memories to recall and share. Perhaps, the current crop of students would be overwhelmed by nostalgia and in order not to bore the living daylights out of them, I salute my school, its teachers and especially Ganpat, Narayan, Tukaram, Pandoo and others I just can’t recall after almost close to 40 years. This message is dedicated to the future as past has been lived and cannot be changed.
Now the Internet has leveled the playing field in all enterprise and academics. Indians who are born and or work hard to be brilliant have now this tool to make miracles. The current crop of geniuses are so dynamic and deadly with their achievements that no global corporation can ignore this gene pool and come openly to seek, search, and use your talents. So staying in India is in many cases a great option. In the event the lure of living abroad is too tempting, then you must realize that you will do extremely well and it really does not make any difference where you live. Your innate abilities will surpass all expectations and let me tell that as of this writing that even the taxi cabbies of New York, Chicago and Miami are becoming a dominating force. Another stark example of Indian success takes place every year at Schools of Engineering across the US wherein 60% of Graduates in the Sciences are from India. No greater force can a nation exert then unleash its armies of geniuses that will attain power, prestige, and security for the common good of mankind: it is as simple and inevitable as that. My advice to the current students from Grade 1 through Grade 10 (or grade 12): prepare like a demon and scrutinize the details and start seeing the future like I should have when I was in school but did not have a clue until it was too late: - Test the strength of your academic vulnerability or exceptionality by taking the American SAT I, SAT II, and Advancement Placement Tests in every available field.
- Another very good source of information is the Australian HSC exam test examples posted on Sydney Morning Herald website during the three months prior to the finals.
- Take tuition now in every subject just like the smart students do when preparing for the MIT, Harvard, Princeton, IIT and other local exams.
- The tuition and tests will validate or condemn the grades given by your teachers.
- It is critical to know and understand the strength and worth of your preparation for the greater college world you will enter after your tour of duty is finished at Panchi.
- Believe me, you have had enough fun by being a boarder at St.Peter’s to last you a lifetime so do not be complacent of and for the future.
- So you owe it to yourself and your parents who have sacrificed a fortune to believe in yourself without delusions about the future.
- The future will come in the form of pugnacious city life, new challenges, severe competition, and rejection or selection into an outstanding college.
- Prepare well, get an independent outside evaluation of your academic worth and with the full understanding of your current and future tasks and ambitions you will not fail and the future will be most manageable and enjoyable.
