Subject: Deadline for joining 2010 Reunion List
Hi folks
I hope all of you are doing well in your various
pursuits. The 2009 Christmas deadline for folks to indicate their
interest in participating in the 2010 Reunion of Panchganiites is fast
approaching. If you know of other alums in the USA or Canada who might
be interested in joining us, please have them contact me immediately so
that I might add them to this list.
So far, the consensus for the reunion date is early summer of 2010 before the hot weather sets in. Please let
me know whether Friday, June 11 - Monday, June 14, 2010 is agreeable to you. If anyone feels otherwise, please let me have your suggested date(s).
Friday
is the arrival day and Monday is the departure day. The times of
arrival and departure will vary depending on attendees' modes of
transportation. The closest airport to Bluefield, WV, is Beckley, WV,
which is served by United Airlines out of Dulles International Airport,
Washington, D.C. I will need to know whether
to rent a van to transfer
folks from Beckley to Bluefield.
I
will arrange lodgings and meals at MountainView Student Residence and
Conference Center in Bluefield, WV. These are modestly furnished rooms
with one or two beds, a bathroom, fridge, TV and wifi access. The cost
is about $30 per person per day. Meals can be had at this facilty for
$20 (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).
I also welcome suggested
activities for alums and their families. All prospective attendees
should also indicate whether they will come alone or with family
members.
Once our plans mature, I can prepare an estimated budget for lodging, meals, airport-residence-airport transfer, etc.
